I bought a pair of shoes for $13 and a few postcards. I gave the clerk $50. In the busyness of the day, she gave me the wrong change and in my rush to get out of the way, I didn't notice. When I went back less than ten minutes later, the clerk acted rude, as if I were an idiot. She shorted me $30 and then gave me an attitude. The manager came to assist, but was completely unhelpful, blaming a headache for her lack of attention and refusing to count the drawer to see if my money was there. She took my name and number and has not called me since. I called the store the next day and was told I couldn't talk to a manager. I am furious and I will not be frequenting White's on my annual trips to Montauk anymore. The staff there should be ashamed of their lack of professionalism.
