Wow! What a beautiful place!
Neat area but overpriced. Park entrance fee plus additional fee to get near the lighthouse is about $20 total. The lighthouse is still active so access at the top is limited and no access is permitted at the actual top level. Tiny viewing platform permits a limited range of pictures. Museum has more info about whaling than the whaling museum in Sag Harbor. Do this one and skip the Sag Harbor museum. Another state park bumps up against this one (why not combine? Who knows?), and it costs more $ to drive through. A better option (if you are hiking to the radar tower) is to park in one and hike to the other.

As beautiful as the grounds and light house are (which deserve 5 stars), you get to the top and the lady up there is nothing but rude. You get all of 10 seconds to take a fast photo and then back in. There's no time to enjoy the view no time to enjoy what your looking at. Just a single fast photo. You also would think you can walk around on a balcony at the top like fire island.
We did not pay to go up to or into the lighthouse or museum but you can get close enough to get some great pics.
Definitely worth the drive to get here!
You can also walk down to the beach and onto the rocks which is pretty easy for most.
Beautiful stroll along the water. Colorul rocks abound. Lighthouse views are amazing. Worth the ride. Memorable moments and photos that will last a lifetime.
THe best way to spend a weekend watching the surfers or relaxing on the beach. Something to be said about heading to the end of the world. Grab a tour and check the view at the top. Stunning
